InLoop Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and InLoop for your use of the InLoop mobile app (package name com.inloop.community), a community and marketplace app for migrants and newcomers to Australia. By creating an account or using InLoop, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use InLoop.

Who we are

InLoop is operated by InLoop, the developer of the InLoop app. You can reach us at any time at inloop.support@gmail.com, and that is the right address for questions about these terms, reports of misuse, and privacy or deletion requests.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use InLoop. InLoop is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly allow accounts for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will remove it.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure, and for everything done through your account.

Acceptable use

InLoop only works if people can trust it. The following are not allowed, and any of them can get your content removed or your account restricted or suspended:

Your content

You own what you post. Your posts, comments, listings, photos and messages remain yours.

So that we can actually run the app, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your content for the purpose of operating and improving InLoop, and to show it to other users according to your privacy settings. This licence exists only to run the service. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it for advertising.

The licence ends for new uses when you delete the content or your account. See how to delete your account for exactly what is removed and the few things that are not.

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

Moderation and termination

We review reported content and we use automated screening to flag content for human review. We may remove content, hide it, restrict an account, or suspend an account where these terms are broken. Where we can, we act proportionately, but we may act immediately in serious cases such as threats, fraud or content involving minors.

You can report any post, comment, listing, job, housing listing, event, carpool trip, profile or conversation from inside the app, and you can block any other user.

You may stop using InLoop and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that repeatedly or seriously breaches these terms.

Marketplace, jobs, housing and carpool

This section matters more than any other in these terms. Please read it.

InLoop is a noticeboard. We are not a party to any transaction between users.

If something goes wrong between you and another user, please report it to us so we can act on the account, and contact the appropriate authorities where a crime may have occurred. We can remove content and accounts; we cannot recover your money or enforce your agreement.

No warranty

InLoop is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any content on it is accurate, current or lawful.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If we are liable to you under a consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again, where the law permits us to limit it that way.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, InLoop is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, income, data or opportunity, and is not liable for any loss or damage arising from a transaction, arrangement, tenancy, job, journey or dispute between you and another user.

Privacy

How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Account deletion is explained at how to delete your account.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and where a change is significant we will make it visible in the app. Continuing to use InLoop after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and InLoop submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts able to hear appeals from them.
